Using Feedburner is a slick way to manage your blog feed and keep track of various stats, and it’s also a great way to allow your readers to subscribe to your posts via email.  Very cool to have new blog posts arrive in your email inbox!

So without further ado, here’s how you set yourself up:

  1. Sign in to Feedburner using any google account
  2. Type in the address of your blog and voila!  Feedburner will find your feed and allow you to give it a spiffy name of your choice.
  3. Click on Publicize and there you’ll find options to use a Subscribe via Email form or link.  Copy the form/link and paste it to wherever you want to have a Subscribe option on your blog.

Done!

There are plenty of other options that you can toodle up as well: you can change the “from” email address that is used when posts are delivered to everyone’s email inboxes; you can make changes to the Confirm Your Subscription email; etc.  Lots of tweaks available.

And if you want to do things the old fashioned way as well, you can get the code for the usual RSS chicklet through Feedburner too.

All bases covered!
