A big boo boo was discovered on my website just recently when I did a bunch of SEO work to improve my visibility. Turns out that there was an old sitemap still in my directory that I had forgotten about, and whenever the search engines where trying to go through my site they were encountering error after error.
Drat! That’s the last thing we want!
Luckily I had been utilizing the plugin called SEO Ultimate and that’s what tipped me off to all the errors. Then after deleting my old sitemap, I used another great plugin called Google XML Sitemaps to create a new and improved version and voila! My website is back in action, whew!
