Scottish Gaelic lesson #1 – Lean bhurr ashlic = Follow your dreams.
How cool!
I’ve researched how this would be pronounced, and here’s what I’ve come up with:
Lenn Voor Ah-shlick (the R at the end of Voor is rolled)
Please correct me if I’m wrong! I’m just beginning to discover all kind of gaelic resources online so bear with me.
So, follow your dreams – I absolutely believe in following your dreams, no matter how crazy you may seem to everyone else. For example, who says you have to work full time? Phooey, all you have to do is adjust your lifestyle to not use so much money. Sounds simple, and for the most part it is, but there are times when it’s pretty frickin’ hard too (hmmm, perhaps “frickin'” isn’t a very lady-like word – note to self).
Wouldn’t you rather be doing what you love doing the most, living out your life’s passion? Discovering new ones too? Sounds like an easy choice to me.
Lean bhurr ashlic!
I agree Lady Sarah MacGregor – Lean bhurr ashlic – fully, magnificently, wondrously, with grand flair and feeling.
You are so correct there Lady Sarah. Both in Lean bhurr ashlic and regarding work. I only work halftime, the rest I spend with my family and cultivating my different hobbies.
Good on ya Laird Arnulf! We’re the ones who have it figured out!
I like your thoughts.
