I’ve been trying and trying to get WordPress permalinks to work with a client’s website lately, to no avail.
I keep getting the dreaded 403 Access Forbidden error, and I’ll be darned if I can sort it out.
Yes, I’ve changed the .htaccess file accordingly.
Yes I’ve set my permissions correctly (directories to 755, files to 644).
Yes I’ve added the line: Options +FollowSymLinks to the top of my .htaccess file and still no luck.
Has anyone out there ever run into this issue before? The only thing I haven’t tried yet is getting in touch with the web server folks themselves and making sure that the AllowOverride is set to All.
If you’ve run into this error please share your solutions, I’d love to get this solved sooner than later. I’ll keep you posted on the outcome…
