Those who know me know that I love my creatures: cats, dogs, chickens – all of them! They bring me joy every day.
The time has come again for one our girls to leave us – little Amber this time. Don’t know what happened, but apparently that’s often the case with chickens – by the time you notice they’re sick it’s too late. We’ve got her inside now and she’s comfortable, hopefully, and she’ll be warm and cozy for as long as she needs to be.
Amber is a sweetie, and I’ll miss her lots when she’s gone.
Now our wee flock will be shrunk to just 5, including Sgt. McBluey.
Ah me. It’s tough when you love your creatures. *Big Sigh*
