If you’re like me and you’re really annoyed with the new Locked file feature that came with upgrading to Mac OS X Lion, don’t worry, there is a way to make it stop.

Be warned that if you think you could use this functionality to help save you from yourself, then perhaps you should just get used to the new feature.  Otherwise, if you’re certain you can handle yourself and not delete your own files, here’s how you turn the functionality off:

Go to System Preferences –> Time Machine –> Options –> and uncheck Lock Documents

I know, who would’ve thought that it would be found in your Time Machine, whether you use it or not, but there it is.
