I use Freshbooks and it’s super awesome for keeping track of your time and creating invoices. And, you can also set up automatic billing. Sweet!
There are two ways to do this: if you want to simply automatically send invoices to clients and have them make their payment then you’re good to go, there is nothing extra that you have to purchase from Freshbooks in order to set this up, just the same package you’ve already selected based on how many clients you have.
But, there is also the option of really truly automatically billing your clients – we’re talking actually billing the credit card automatically, not just sending the invoice and hoping the client will make the payment themselves. The only catch is that there are additional costs associated with this option, but good to know that it’s do-able!
With Freshbooks you can set up your whole account for free as long as you don’t go over three clients, so you have plenty of time to get yourself set up and running smoothly.
