It can be unsettling when you first find out that one of your clients is going to no longer need you.

Now, don’t let the title of this post fool you; there are indeed times when you need to take a good hard look at why you’ve lost a particular client – why exactly they don’t want to work with you anymore, what you can do better next time, and how to improve your work/processes.

However, right now I’m talking about those times when for whatever reason you have a client that is either retiring or shutting down their business for other reasons that have nothing to do with you.  It is in this type of situation that I say Don’t Fret!

You’d be surprised at how naturally your time will get filled up again.  Whether it’s a new client or an existing client that is wanting more of your time, I find that once your mindset has shifted to start thinking that you have extra time and want to fill it any or all of these new opportunities will just fall into place.  Don’t get me wrong, you still have to be marketing your business as usual and putting yourself and your business out there, but sometimes these new opportunities won’t show up until you’re open to them, not before.

So, don’t fret if you lose a beloved client; who knows what new opportunities await?!?!?
