I found a great resource on how to find and add cool fonts to your wordpress website that are still web-friendly.  Here’s how you do it:

1. Choose your font from Google’s list of web-friendly fonts.  When you’ve found the one you want click on the Add to Collection button on the right hand side, and the click the button that says Use.

2. Choose your options – There may be additional style options that you can choose (or not) – select the ones you want, as well as the character sets you want.

3. Import the font to your child theme – Now you’ll see a blue box with three tabs along the top – click on the one that says @import, copy the code that it gives you, and paste it into the style.css of your WordPress Child Theme, directly under the line that’s importing the style sheet of your Parent theme.

4. Integrate the fonts into your CSS – Copy the code that is given to you that defines your chosen font-family and paste it into the appropriate place(s) in the style.css of your child theme.  For example:

#content h1 {
color: #E13800;
font-family: ‘Margarine’, serif;  <–This is your new line here
font-size: 22px;
font-weight: bold;
}

Voila!  Done!
