This doesn’t have anything to do with computers or programming or any of that stuff, but I really wanted to tell everyone about Abeego anyways!

Abeego is a product made in good ole BC that is basically sheets of natural products that keep food fresh. I probably have never had the chance to mention on my blog how much I loathe plastic wrap and I haven’t had any in my house for years, and I was always longing for some of the older solutions that I remembered from long ago – like the circular piece of plastic with the elastic banding around the edge that you could pop over top of any bowl (my grama has these and they were so handy!).

Well apparently I had mentioned my wish for just such a thing a few more times than I realized, and so when my mom somehow heard about this Abeego she called me up and told me about it right away. Wowee! Even better than a piece of plastic with elastic! Abeego is made with beeswax, jojoba oil, and tree resin infused into a fabric made of hemp and organic cotton. You use the warmth of your hands to mold the flats (the variety pack is what I bought first) over whatever container you have and voila! No need for plastic wrap, hooray!

You’ve gotta check out their cool how-to video to give you some ideas on how you can use these things, so awesome! I’m definitely going back to get the Giant sheet for when we’re making bread.
